The agency was established in 1982, marketing life and health products to both individuals and groups. In 1995, Hughes Agency became a full service agency offering home and auto as well as life and health products.

We became affiliated with Fran Tarkenton, NFL Hall of Fame Quarterback and Tarkenton Financial, LLC, Atlanta, GA at the beginning of 2010. I consider this to be the wisest move the Agency had made since the business began!! This affiliation offers access to some of the best products from premier companies in the industry. Additionally, we have access to “immediate” assistance from Fran’s staff as well as constant training and educational opportunities through weekly webinars.

We serve clients in Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia. We are open Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m.

I have been in the insurance business since July, 1982, selling Life, Annuities, Health, Cancer, Accident, Disability, Long Term Care and Medicare Supplements to both individuals as well as businesses. I am licensed to sell Property and Casualty (home and auto), but the majority of this business is managed by other agents in the office.

My agents and I market products through such companies as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, United Healthcare, Trustmark, Assurant Health, Mutual of Omaha companies, Sun Life Financial, American Equity, Allianz Life, Aviva, ING, Farmers, Progressive, Safeway, Guide One, Safeco, Foremost, Bristol West, Dairyland, National General, ACCC, American Modern Home, Select and Life, National Security and many other outstanding companies.
